There are more and more shock absorber products on the market now, and there are also people who are new to shock absorbers. For those who are not familiar with shock absorbers, how can they avoid picking inferior products like younger students?
1. Smoothness of piston rod: Place the shock absorber upright, press the piston rod, and observe the smoothness of the piston rod during the pressing process. If the piston rod can be smoothly pressed to the bottom during the pressing process, it is a high-quality shock absorber; If the piston rod experiences a jolt during the pressing process, it is a poor quality shock absorber.
2. Weight: Poor quality shock absorbers generally reduce costs by lowering the quality standards of production materials, so we can judge the quality of shock absorbers by weighing them. In general, for two shock absorbers of the same model, the weight of a low-quality shock absorber will be 0.1-5 kilograms lighter than that of a high-quality shock absorber.
3. Hardness: Hardness, also known as damping force, is an important factor in ensuring driving safety for shock absorbers. Place the shock absorber upright, press the shock absorber, and suddenly increase the pressing force during the pressing process, thus simulating the sudden sinking of the vehicle body.
High quality piston rods should be slowly compressed and slowly rebound during the pressing and popping process;
Poor quality piston rods will compress and eject too quickly like springs during the process of pressing and ejecting.
4. Appearance: The paint of high-quality shock absorbers is smooth and mostly electrophoretic paint, which will not easily peel off or rust.
The welding process of high-quality shock absorbers is smooth, and there will be no unevenness such as sand holes that may cause oil leakage or shock absorber breakage;
Check if there are any oil stains around the sealing ring of the shock absorber. If there are no oil stains, it is a high-quality shock absorber;
After the shock absorber is ejected, check whether there are oil stains on the chrome plated surface. If there are no oil stains, it is a high-quality shock absorber.
5. Freezing: Place the shock absorber in the freezer for 24 hours and remove it. Press the piston rod and observe whether the shock absorber can be used normally.
The damping oil used in high-quality shock absorbers will not solidify at temperatures below zero, and the shock absorbers can be used normally; The damping oil used in inferior shock absorbers will solidify at temperatures below zero, causing the shock absorbers to malfunction;
6. Brand: With the development of the domestic aftermarket, there are more and more shock absorber brands involved in the market. We should choose a strong and good brand. Because a good brand not only has the exquisite production technology support of large factories, but also has leading research and development innovation capabilities.
